According to an article in FT.com:
"Since Gardasil’s approval last year, there have been reports which have cited 11 deaths and adverse events which range from Guillan-Barre syndrome, Bells Palsy, seizures and fainting. The vaccine has also been linked to blood clotting and heart problems.
Also, out of 42 pregnant women who received the vaccine, 18 had complications that ranged from fetal abnormalities to miscarriages."
A pharmaceutical investor summed up up the vaccine: "[A]n estimated 10 – 12 million girls and young women are being vaccinated for an illness that is not considered an epidemic is a dangerous premise. He said there are approximately 15,000 to 30,000 cases of cervical cancer in the US, and if caught early it’s almost always curable. He asked, ”It’s not a great vaccine and so all of a sudden you throw deaths in the mix, is the risk reward all that good?”
"Dr Abby Lippman, professor of epidemiology at McGill University, noted HPV is neither an emergency nor a crisis, and as a consequence advises against the ”mass vaccination” situation that has arisen.
"She asked, ”Why can’t we take some time to realize its benefits and harms before we immunize school girls? Before we have a public health crisis, policies should be decided on harder data when we don’t have a crisis to deal with.”
Where are the feminists to defend women's bodies against the pumping of potentially deadly chemicals into young girls? They are silent --because their priority is maintaining free and uninhibited sex for women-- and for that no price is too high.

The choices for American president are lamentable and our lack of leadership is a direct result of our wicked and adulterous culture. A culture that accepts and even promotes adultery, fornication, abortion and homosexuality as the norm cannot produce godly leaders. Instead we are left with those who disregard God's commands.

"There is and always has been the Church, and various heresies proceeding from a rejection of some of the Church's doctrines by men who still desire to retain the rest of her teaching and morals. But there never has been and never can be or will be a general Christian religion professed by men who all accept some central important doctrines, while agreeing to differ about others. There has always been from the beginning and will always be the Church, and sundry heresies either doomed to decay, or, like Mohammedanism, to grow into a separate religion. Of a common Christianity there never has been and never can be a definition, for it has never existed."
Belloc goes on to state, "[t]here is no essential doctrine such that if we can agree upon it we can agree to differ about the rest: as for instance to accept immorality but deny the Trinity. A man will call himself a Christian though he denies the

Souad Sbai stated. "In northern Italy, there are women that live chained at home, from the kitchen to the bathroom, without being able to open the door".
Excerpts from ADNKRONOS: "In the North,[of Italy] there are 4 and 5 year old girls that wear the [Islamic] veil in the summer, and in the winter. This is the culture of male chauvinists, of fundamentalists - and nobody is shocked," said Sbai.
"Sbai also claims that Egypt's Islamist Muslim Brotherhood organistion is slowly 'infiltrating' Italian politics.
"Sbai also pointed the finger at many "imams that are ignorant, that are butchers, and have harmed the community."

UN REPORT CALLS FOR DISESTABLISHMENT OF THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND DUE TO LACK OF BELIEVERS AND OFFENSE TO MUSLIMS
According to a recent study conducted by the U.N., two-thirds of British citizenry claim no religious affiliation. The 23-page report by a special rapporteur of the U.N. claims that the 2001 census which found that nearly 72 per cent of the population is Christian is no longer accurate.
Excerpts from TIMESONLINE: "The report calls for the disestablishment of the Church of England. It says that the role and privileges of the Church do not reflect “the religious demography of the country and the rising proportion of other Christian denominations”.
"The report says that there is an “overall respect for human rights and their value” but it gives warning of discrimination against Muslims.
"Citing research that 80 per cent of Muslims in Britain feel that they have been discriminated against, the report singles out the Terrorism Act 2000 for particular criticism. Under the Act police in some areas can stop and search people without having to show reasonable suspicion.
Certainly, if a church is founded upon the notion that Christ's Church can be divided, then this same church therefore becomes subject to division, disestablishment and even elimination itself. The curse of the Reformation may well be the Islamization of Britain.
"And so the stage is set for the chastisement which the prophecies say will be very severe for England." Catholic Prophesy, Yves Dupont.
Since we are now in the midst of the 40-days of lent we may from time to time be tempted to succumb to sloth which can destroy one's spiritual opportunity to persevere toward a good and fruitful lent.
I recall a story about Fr. John Hardon, S.J. and his personal valet/bodyguard, Dan Burns, who travelled with him on numerous occasions. Mr. Burns once stated that "[Fr Hardon] took a vow in 1937 or so never to waste time, and I've never seen him waste time. The last motion picture he saw was in 1939."
According to Burns, just prior to the departure of a flight Fr Hardon went to confession. Upon his arrival at his destination he immediately stated to Burns that he needed to go to confession again. Burns mildly protested asking why it was necessary since he had just went to confession prior to the flight. Fr Hardon replied that he had wasted 15 minutes while on the plane.
This story among other things highlights the importance of avoiding sloth. Sloth is one of the seven deadly sins--which destroys charity in the heart and thus may lead to final impenitence and damnation. Sloth is the desire for ease and a reluctance to attend to duty. The slothful person is unwilling to do what God wants because of the effort it takes to do it. Thomas Aquinas said Sloth is "sluggishness of the mind which neglects to begin good... [it] is evil in its effect, if it so oppresses man as to draw him away entirely from good deeds."

“It [the Third Secret] has nothing to do with Gorbachev. The Blessed Virgin was alerting us against apostasy in the Church.” ... Cardinal Oddi, quoted March 17, 1990, in the journal Il Sabato
“In the Third Secret it is foretold, among other things, that the great apostasy in the Church will begin at the top.”
... Cardinal Mario Luigi Ciappi, Pope John Paul II's personal papal theologian, quoted in the journal Catholic, March 2002

Joyce ascribes "devious" and conspiratorial motives to the documentary's producers and claims they are only trying to re-Christianize the Western world. Most telling of all, Joyce remains silent in the face of statistics and hard evidence presented in the film. Thus the only recourse liberal demographic-deniers have is to silence the truth-tellers by condemning them as racist scare-mongers.
Liberals seem to have no problem however engaging in scare-mongering with respect to the psuedo-science of global warming. They care more for the planet and the availability of their favorite contraception and means of abortion than they do for the survival of mankind.
Further, the liberal pursuit of utopian multi-cultural harmony only works in textbooks and in their own Read More...

From Mr Thomas Landon via Brussels Journal: "If I had been asked two months ago “Which Western country runs the greatest risk of electing a Muslim-born leader and how soon do you think this is going to happen?” I would have bet on the Netherlands somewhere in the next decade. Today, it looks as if the first Western country with a Muslim-born leader might very well be the United States next year, when President Barack Hussein Obama enters the Oval Office."
"Perhaps Mr. Obama strikes the Europeans as the “most European candidate” because he was born a Muslim. If America can have a Muslim-born leader, why not Europe, many Europeans will ask. They know that the latter is “unavoidable” (to use the archbishop of Canterbury’s words). In America, Mr. Obama’s Muslim family background (unlike Mr. Romney’s Mormonism) is a non-issue because he attends a Christian church. Nevertheless, being born from a Muslim father, raised by a Muslim stepfather, having been enrolled at Read More...
From Simon Heffer at the Telegraph: "The archbishop seems to imagine that sharia law's adoption could be confined to matters such as financial transactions and divorce.
"But why should it stop there? Indeed, how could it?
"The Church of England has long dined à la carte from the menu of Christian doctrine. The Ten Commandments have become mostly optional. Homosexuality, divorce and abortion are demanded as rights by certain sections of the Anglican communion, and no prelate seems to dare to contradict them. The Church has brought itself into contempt by acting in this way. Now, though, perhaps Dr Williams imagines Muslims will dine à la carte from the Koran. He must be mad.
"A man in his position should defend our way of life and, above all, defend the unity of our society. That unity is already fragile: and this disgraceful act of appeasement, as well as showing the archbishop is unfit to occupy St Augustine's Throne, threatens to shatter it. If the Church of England has any point, it is to stand up for the prevalence of English and Christian values."
The Reformation did away with unity of peoples and certainly Christianity. Now we have non-believers clamoring for unity and Christian values but perpetually dividing Protestantism will only fail civilization.
An employment tribunal has ordered an Anglican bishop to undergo equal opportunities training after losing a discrimination case against a homosexual who sought a position as a youth worker.
The Bishop of Hereford, the Right Rev Anthony Priddis, is alleged to have discriminated against John Reaney, 42, by failing to appoint him as a church youth worker. The tribunal also ordered the Bishop to pay Reaney £47,345 in compensation and stated that the staff in the diocese of Hereford should also receive equal opportunities training.
Ben Summerskill, the chief executive of Stonewall, the radically pro-homosexual organization that funded the claim against the bishop, said that this would involve helping the Bishop to develop an understanding of how to deal with people from minority communities as well as explaining to him that asking intimate questions about people’s private lives is not an appropriate thing to do during a job interview.
Mr Summerskill also said: “Normally training would take half a day or a day but [the Bishop] might need Read More...
As a civilization we are reaping the fruit of the Reformation which was a rejection of authority and and an embrace of relativism and indifference to truth. Every man now lives by his own contrived truth--no one religion possesses truth, and there is no unified voice to stand for truth and against the tyranny of secularism and Islam. Instead there are ineffective and self-deprecating leaders like Rowan Williams who embrace, celebrate and are even willing to adopt the beliefs of those that seek the destruction of their very nation and church (and ironically would delight in beheading Williams and any homosexual clergy). When the Bride of Christ is divorced and the "life" which Christ promised to those who consume His flesh is absent-- then Sharia law is an inevitability. And the stench of weakness, capitulation and appeasement will only incite further demands from Islam in its pursuit of domination. (Thanks to Roger in New Zealand)
From the BBC: "The Archbishop of Canterbury says the adoption of certain aspects of Sharia law in the UK "seems unavoidable".
"Dr Rowan Williams told Radio 4's World at One that the UK has to "face up to the fact" that some of its citizens do not relate to the British legal system.
"Dr Williams argues that adopting parts of Islamic Sharia law would help maintain social cohesion."
Social cohesion? Rather than seek social cohesion and transform our beliefs and civilization to Islam we should seek the conversion of Islam to Christianity. Read More...
According to the website:
"Worldwide, birth rate have been halved in the past 50 years. There are now 59 nations, with 44% of the world's population with below replacement fertility.
"Sometime in this century, the world's population will begin to decline. At a certain point the decline will become rapid. We may even reach population free-fall in our lifetimes.
"For some countries population decline is already a reality. Russia is losing three-quarters-of-a-million people a year. Its population (currently 145 million) is expected to fall by one-third by 2050."
"If present low birth rates persist, the European Union estimates there will be a continent-wide shortfall of 20 million workers by 2030.
"Who will operate the factories and farms in the Europe of the future? Who will develop the natural resources? Where will Russia find the soldiers to guard the frontiers of the largest nation on earth?
"Who will care for a graying population? A burgeoning elderly population combined with a shrinking work force will lead to a train wreck for state pension systems."
"While governments should make child-rearing easier, by lowering the tax-burden on families (out of self-interest if not fairness) cash incentives do not work."
"Even though bigamy is a crime in Britain, the decision by ministers means that polygamous marriages can now be recognised formally by the state, so long as the weddings took place in countries where the arrangement is legal.
"The outcome will chiefly benefit Muslim men with more than one wife, as is permitted under Islamic law. Ministers estimate that up to a thousand polygamous partnerships exist in Britain, although they admit there is no exact record.
"The decision has been condemned by the Tories, who accused the Government of offering preferential treatment to a particular group, and of setting a precedent that would lead to demands for further changes in British law."

"We ought to immolate to God the daily sacrifices of our tears, the daily offerings of His Flesh and Blood. For this Victim peculiarly preserves the soul from eternal death, as it renews to us in a mystery the death of the Only-Begotten; Who, although being risen from the dead He dies no more and death shall have no more dominion over Him, yet while in Himself He lives immortal and incorruptible, for us is immolated again in this mystery of the sacred oblation. For it is His body that is there taken, His flesh that it is divided for the salvation of the people, His blood that is poured, not as before into the hands of unbelievers, but into the mouths of the faithful. Hence let us estimate the importance of this sacrifice for us, which for our absolution ever imitates the Passion of the only-begotten Son. For what Christian can doubt that at the very hour of the offering, at the words of the priest, the heavens are opened, the choirs of angels are present in that mystery of Jesus Christ, the lowest things are knit with the highest, the earthly things are united with the heavenly, the visible and the invisible are made one." Pope St. Gregory the Great (6th cent)
