CARDINAL PIE: A VOICE FOR OUR APOSTATE TIMES
Here are some fantastic thoughts from Cardinal Pie,
Bishop of Poitiers, who lived from 1815-1880. His
writings were among the favorites of the great Saint
Pius X. I read this with amazement over at

ON THE “SO-CALLED” CATHOLICS WHO PLAY VAIN
NOVELTIES: "Hear this
maxim, O you, Catholics full of temerity, who so
quickly adopt the ideas and the language of your
time, you who speak of reconciling the faith and of
reconciling the Church with the modern spirit and
with the new law. And you who accept with so much
confidence the most dangerous pursuits of what our
age so pridefully labels "Science," see to what
extent you are straying from the program set out by
the great Apostle, "O Timothy, keep that which is
committed to thy trust, avoiding the profane
novelties of words, and oppositions of knowledge
falsely so-called" (I Tim. 6:20). But take heed. With
such temerities, one is soon led farther than he
first had thought. And in placing themselves on the
slope of profane novelties—in obeying the currents of
so-called science—many have lost the Faith.
“Have you not often been saddened, and taken fright,
my venerable brothers, on hearing the language of
certain men, who believe themselves still to be sons
of the Church, men who still practice occasionally as
Catholics and who often approach the Lord's Table? Do
you still believe them to be sons, do you still
believe them to be members of the Church, those who,
wrapping themselves in such vague phrases as modern
aspirations and the force of progress and
civilization, proclaim the existence of a
"consciousness of the laity," of a secular and
political conscience opposed to the "conscience of
the Church," against which they assume the right to
react, for its correction and renewal? Ah! So many
passengers, and even pilots, who, believing
themselves to be yet in the barque, and playing with
profane novelties and the lying science of their
time, have already sunk
WILL THE UNITED STATES BECOME COMMUNIST?
Here is an excerpt of an interview with Sr Lucia which was conducted by William Thomas Walsh, author of the book Our Lady of Fatima. Father Manuel Rocha, a native of Portugal, was the assigned translator for Walsh and relates the following exchange:
Sr Lucia: ‘What Our Lady wants is that the Pope and all the bishops in the world shall Consecrate Russia to Her Immaculate Heart on one special day. If this is done, She will convert Russia and there will be peace. If it is not done, the errors of Russia will spread through every country in the world.’”
Professor Walsh: “Does this mean, in your opinion, that every country, without exception, will be overcome by Communism?”
Sister Lucy: “YES!” (Our Lady of Fatima, 1947, page 226)
Professor Walsh: “And does that mean the United States of American too?”
Sister Lucy: “YES!”
A NEW TREND: DE-BAPTIZING YOURSELF
He stated that wants his 1953 baptism cancelled because he was not consulted and does not believe in God.
He was motivated by a similar case in Spain, where a court ruled under Spanish data protection legislation that records of baptisms could be stricken from the register.
Mr Hunt's de-baptism certificate reads:
“I, John Geoffrey Hunt, having been subjected to the rite of Christian baptism in infancy hereby publicly revoke any implications of that rite. I reject all its creeds and other such superstitions in particular the perfidious belief that any baby needs to be cleansed of original sin.”
He thereafter paid £60 to make his formal apostasy public by publishing it in the London Gazette. The London diocese has agreed to amend his baptism notes with the notice.
In accordance with Pascals wager: Atheism is a terrible bet. It gives you no chance of winning the prize. It is the height of folly not to "bet" on God, even if you have no certainty, no proof, no guarantee that your bet will win.
And in the words of Holy Scripture: "Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved" Mark 16:16

ARGENTINA: A CATHOLIC APOSTASY CAMPAIGN
BUENOS AIRES (Reuters) - In an effort to reduce the church's political influence, Argentine atheists and feminists are spearheading a drive to get people who were baptized Roman Catholic but disagree with the church's politics to formally renounce their faith.
The "Not in my Name" Internet campaign, also called Collective Apostasy, encourages people who are Catholic in name only to write to the bishops where they were baptized to officially register that they have left the church.
