CHURCH OF ENGLAND BISHOP CONDEMNED BY HIS OWN FOR ADVOCATING THE CONVERSION OF MUSLIMS TO CHRISTIANITY
From the Telegraph: "The Rt Rev Stephen Lowe, the former Bishop of Hulme and the newly appointed Bishop of Urban Life and Faith, said: "Both the Bishop of Rochester's reported comments and the synod private members' motion show no sensitivity to the need for good inter-faith relations. Christians, Jews, Muslims, Hindus and Sikhs are learning to respect one another's paths to God and to live in harmony. This demand for the evangelisation of people of other faiths contributes nothing to our communities."
A Church of England spokesman added: "We have a mission-focused Christian presence in every community, including those where there are a large number of Muslims. That engagement is based on the provisions of Article 9 of the European Convention on Human Read More...
Excerpt from timesonline: "A British citizen who converted to Christianity from Islam and then complained to police when locals threatened to burn his house down was told by officers to “stop being a crusader”, according to a new report.
"Nissar Hussein, 43, from Bradford, West Yorkshire, who was born and raised in Britain, converted from Islam to Christianity with his wife, Qubra, in 1996. The report says that he was subjected to a number of attacks and, after being told that his house would be burnt down if he did not repent and return to Islam, reported the threat to the police. It says he was told that such threats were rarely carried out and the police officer told him to “stop being a crusader and move to another place”. A few days later the unoccupied house next door was set on fire."
The parade which ironically celebrates St George's defeat of a dragon and England's cultural heritage was expected to traverse through Bradford which is home to a large Pakistani muslim community. The parade was due to attract more than 10,000 people.
From Dailymail: "The Rev Tony Tooby, chairman of governors at St Philips primary school, which was due to take part, said: "We wanted the route to include where some of the riots had taken place to educate our young people.
"The police and council just kept telling us that the reason for their objection was 'health and safety'. They proposed another route which was ridiculously short. The march would have been over before it began.
"Unfortunately, there's a fear that someone may have used it to cause violence.
Local Tory MP Philip Davies said: "This was a prime opportunity to promote integration in a celebration of being British. "The police and council, whether it's through political correctness or whatever, have failed miserably. It's frankly pathetic."
The Bradford riots occurred in 2001 just a few months prior to the September 11th attacks on the World Trade Center --and prior to the Western world's realization that it was the target of Islamic jihad.
The riots were sparked by the stabbing of a local "Asian youth" by National Front supporters. They ended with more than 300 police injured and 297 people arrested. The riot was estimated to have involved Read More...
So many today are blinded by relativism and religious indifferentism and are willing to lump a religion that seeks to dominate and destroy the West with the religion that founded Western Civilization. To these "enlightened" atheists all religions have become equally useless and loathsome. Because of this the Roman Catholic bishop of Lancaster, England is now forced to testify before MPs as to why he is imposing religious "fundamentalism" on Catholic school children. The charges stem from Bishop Patrick O'Donoghue's ban on "values-free" sex education in Catholic schools and his order to place crucifixes in every classroom.
He has been summoned to appear before the House of Commons committee on children, schools and families due to a 66-page document which held a strict line on sexual morality and which angered some MPs because of its .
FROM DAILYMAIL: In the document, called Fit for Mission?, Bishop O'Donoghue wrote: "The secular view on sex outside marriage, artificial contraception, sexually transmitted disease, including HIV and Aids, and abortion, may not be presented as Read More...
ROME (Reuters) - The Vatican's top man for relations with Islam on Tuesday criticized the Archbishop of Canterbury as mistaken and "naive" for suggesting that some aspects of Sharia law in Britain were unavoidable.
Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran, in a wide-ranging discussion with reporters about Christian-Muslim relations, also said he was confident that a new, permanent body between the Vatican and Muslims would help defuse misunderstandings in the future.
"I think it was a mistake, a mistake because, above all, one has to ask what type of Sharia. And then, it was a bit naive," Tauran said in answer to a question at a breakfast meeting.
"One can understand his good intentions but it seems to me he did not take into consideration either them (the Muslims), the English juridical system, or the Read More...
UN REPORT CALLS FOR DISESTABLISHMENT OF THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND DUE TO LACK OF BELIEVERS AND OFFENSE TO MUSLIMS
According to a recent study conducted by the U.N., two-thirds of British citizenry claim no religious affiliation. The 23-page report by a special rapporteur of the U.N. claims that the 2001 census which found that nearly 72 per cent of the population is Christian is no longer accurate.
Excerpts from TIMESONLINE: "The report calls for the disestablishment of the Church of England. It says that the role and privileges of the Church do not reflect “the religious demography of the country and the rising proportion of other Christian denominations”.
"The report says that there is an “overall respect for human rights and their value” but it gives warning of discrimination against Muslims.
"Citing research that 80 per cent of Muslims in Britain feel that they have been discriminated against, the report singles out the Terrorism Act 2000 for particular criticism. Under the Act police in some areas can stop and search people without having to show reasonable suspicion.
Certainly, if a church is founded upon the notion that Christ's Church can be divided, then this same church therefore becomes subject to division, disestablishment and even elimination itself. The curse of the Reformation may well be the Islamization of Britain.
"And so the stage is set for the chastisement which the prophecies say will be very severe for England." Catholic Prophesy, Yves Dupont.
"Even though bigamy is a crime in Britain, the decision by ministers means that polygamous marriages can now be recognised formally by the state, so long as the weddings took place in countries where the arrangement is legal.
"The outcome will chiefly benefit Muslim men with more than one wife, as is permitted under Islamic law. Ministers estimate that up to a thousand polygamous partnerships exist in Britain, although they admit there is no exact record.
"The decision has been condemned by the Tories, who accused the Government of offering preferential treatment to a particular group, and of setting a precedent that would lead to demands for further changes in British law."

From dailymail: Muslim plans to broadcast a loudspeaker call to prayer from a city centre mosque have been attacked by local residents who say it would turn the area into a "Muslim ghetto".
Dozens of people packed out a council meeting to express their concerns over the plans for a two-minute long call to prayer to be issued three times a day, saying that it could drown out the traditional sound of church bells.
But a spokesman for the Central Mosque said that Muslim's also have the right to Read More...
With statements such as the one made this past week by Rowan Williams, the leader of the Church of England, that Christmas is merely a legend-- is there any wonder why the death of this church is near? When the leaders of a church have lost their faith in the word of God, and invite homosexual leadership into its ranks --death is inevitable.
FROM Telegraph: "This means that the established Church has lost its place as the nation's most popular Christian denomination after more than four centuries of unrivalled influence following the Reformation.

From Lifesite: "The homosexual political movement in Britain was dealt a rare setback this week as a Northern Irish court ruled to curb some parts of notorious regulations. The Sexual Orientation Regulations of the Equality Act, that came into effect in January, would have allowed gay activists in Northern Ireland to prosecute people expressing religious oppositions to the homosexual lifestyle. The judge struck down the harassment provisions appearing in the legislation for Northern Ireland but supported the Regulations in general.
According to the ruling, Christians or other religious people will now be allowed to "express their disapproval" of homosexuality in Read More...

The U.K. has introduced government sponsored and supported "civics-religion" lessons which teach Western values from the Koran. The Labor government hopes this pilot program in Bradford will eventually spread to other cities, and help "assimilate" and "integrate" the country’s Muslims into British culture. The program is meant to replace the tedious, and hard-core religious lessons now taught in mosques. Those lessons emphasize rote learning of the Koran, and are taught by imams who were born in Pakistan. It is estimated that 100,000 school-age Muslim children attend daily religious classes after school in mosques in Britain.
The program was written by a Bradford teacher, Sajid Hussain, 34, who submitted proposed lesson plans to imams which were ultimately rejected. “They were perhaps a little too frontal,” Hussain said.
How "frontal" were the lesson plans that were rejected by the imams?
"In one example, the students were to be asked what they would do if a friend bought a large quantity of fertilizer and announced he planned Read More...
