IRISH CATHOLICS MUST VOTE NO ON LISBON TREATY

From Irish Society For a Christian Civilization: "Can I approve of the Treaty of Lisbon?
The violation of non-negotiable principles raises a grave question of conscience for
Irish Catholics in the face of this referendum.
A spectre is haunting Europe—it threatens you, the Christian future of your family, of Ireland, and of the Continent. It is a European Union without God and without moral principles.
The Treaty of Lisbon seeks to reform, for you and for all Irish Catholics, the fundamental values which govern the functioning of the European Union. These new values are in stark contrast to the non-negotiable principles given by Pope Benedict XVI.
The Pope insists that, in the construction of Europe, there are three areas in which the Church defends “non-negotiable principles”:

NO POPERY! POPE DENOUNCED AS ANTI-CHRIST OVER ROSARY ROW

"This is holy Church, the one Church, the true Church, the Catholic Church, fighting against all heresies; she can fight but she cannot be conquered. All heresies are expelled from her as if they were dead branches pruned from the vine; she herself however remains fixed in her root, in her vine, in her charity. IRELAND: FIVEFOLD INCREASE IN MARRIAGE BREAKDOWN OVER 20 YEARS

I suppose the increase in materialism and consumerism that was brought about by the "Celtic Tiger" boom obliterated the closeness to the earth and much of the faith.
DUBLIN (AFP) — There has been a fivefold increase in marital breakdown in Ireland in the last 20 years, according to a new study released Friday.
The Iona Institute, an organisation dedicated to the strengthening of society through marriage and religious practice, said that by 2006, 200,000 people had seen their marriage fail, compared with 40,000 Read More...
