The dissolution and rejection of absolute truth is precisely due to the disunity of Christianity and the creation of personal religion. Over the last 500+ years we have accepted the notion that everyone is free to create their own version of Christ, Christianity and ultimately their own truth. As a result we now as a culture, lack standing to condemn those who personally and sincerely believe they possess the fullness of truth but in reality lack Christ who is truth. To condemn personal religion and thereby false religion would amount to a condemnation of what the West itself has become.
Recent Catholic convert, Magdi Allam, recently asserted that it is relativism that has caused the growth of Islam in the West. Excerpts from (CNA).- "Magdi Allam, warned this week that Islam is growing as a result of the ideology of relativism that pervades the West and claims that there are many truths instead of one unique Truth.
In an article published by the magazine Mundo Cristiano and quoted by Analisis Digital, Allam Read More...

A teenage boy is facing criminal prosecution for holding a sign identifying the Church of Scientology as a "cult". The boy is part of a group, known as "Anonymous" which regularly protests against Scientology outside the church's London headquarters.
Excerpts from Telegraph: "The boy, who is described only as a minor, was taking part in a demonstration outside the church's central London headquarters on May 10 when City of London Police officers ordered him to remove the placard.
It read: "Scientology is not a religion, it is a dangerous cult."
When he refused, he was issued with a form of summons for an alleged Read More...
The U.K. has approved animal-human embryos. This is as much science as wicca is religion. Science lost its bearings when it dismissed truth from its consideration.
"Truth means more than knowing: Knowledge of the truth has knowledge of the good as its scope. ... The truth makes us good and goodness is truth." Pope Benedict XVI (La Sapienza speech which he was never permitted to deliver)
Science no longer seeks to "discover" in light of truth or even for the sake of "goodness". Instead it creates its own reality in defiance of truth and justifies its diabolical creations with the utilitarian notion that the end justifies the means. No doubt after the secular media parade Parkinson patients before the masses, they will gullibly accept the "utility" and "goodness" of this grotesque human experiment in the name of science.
The Church however is duty-bound, “to insist that science's Read More...
Are people worse today than those who lived in previous generations?
It has always been my strong inclination to answer this in the affirmative --until I came across the following quote:
"If the West has now reached the point of internal disintegration, it is not because the people at large are, in essence, worse than in former times (human nature does not change); it is because they have been led to believe in errors (such as the belief that one has the right to do as one pleases) by a minority of "intellectuals who have been allowed to disseminate freely their pernicious ideas." Yves Dupont.
When you look around at the West today--so many sins that pervade our modern world can be attributed to our embrace of error. Today, the errors of materialism, hedonism, and secularism, just to mention a few, have multiplied at a staggering rate. Things that were unspeakable a generation ago have become a source of pride for many. From the Protestant Deformation which twisted and continues to alter truth for the convenience of man, to the modernism that has destroyed the faith of so many Catholics. The minds of many in the once Christian West have become severely afflicted with errors against God the Father, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, Mary, and God's Grace.
The West is so steeped in error that it now finds truth itself to be intolerant and offensive. In fact most believe that tolerance, not truth, leads to freedom. But true liberty and freedom only derive from truth, which by its very nature is intolerant of error--and so must we also be.
How many souls are lost due to the prevalence of error?
Fr John Hardon, S. J. addressed this when he stated: 'virtually all of the Fathers of the Church agreed that ‘most of those living in any age will be lost’.
We must pray and offer ourselves as living sacrifices to God for the eradication of error and for holy priests who will fight with courage and vigor against the errors of our times.
"There is and always has been the Church, and various heresies proceeding from a rejection of some of the Church's doctrines by men who still desire to retain the rest of her teaching and morals. But there never has been and never can be or will be a general Christian religion professed by men who all accept some central important doctrines, while agreeing to differ about others. There has always been from the beginning and will always be the Church, and sundry heresies either doomed to decay, or, like Mohammedanism, to grow into a separate religion. Of a common Christianity there never has been and never can be a definition, for it has never existed."
Belloc goes on to state, "[t]here is no essential doctrine such that if we can agree upon it we can agree to differ about the rest: as for instance to accept immorality but deny the Trinity. A man will call himself a Christian though he denies the
unity of the Christian Church; he will call Read More...
"We ought to immolate to God the daily sacrifices of our tears, the daily offerings of His Flesh and Blood. For this Victim peculiarly preserves the soul from eternal death, as it renews to us in a mystery the death of the Only-Begotten; Who, although being risen from the dead He dies no more and death shall have no more dominion over Him, yet while in Himself He lives immortal and incorruptible, for us is immolated again in this mystery of the sacred oblation. For it is His body that is there taken, His flesh that it is divided for the salvation of the people, His blood that is poured, not as before into the hands of unbelievers, but into the mouths of the faithful. Hence let us estimate the importance of this sacrifice for us, which for our absolution ever imitates the Passion of the only-begotten Son. For what Christian can doubt that at the very hour of the offering, at the words of the priest, the heavens are opened, the choirs of angels are present in that mystery of Jesus Christ, the lowest things are knit with the highest, the earthly things are united with the heavenly, the visible and the invisible are made one." Pope St. Gregory the Great (6th cent)
Mark Steyn, author of America Alone, is being investigated by the Canadian Human Rights Commission and the British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal in response to complaints about an excerpt from his book that was published in the Canadian journal Maclean’s. The complaints were filed by the Canadian Islamic Congress. They claim the article “subjects Canadian Muslims to hatred and contempt,” and was “flagrantly Islamophobic.”
This indeed is a new day for a Nation that calls itself free. Under an atheistic secular regime such as Canada, truth must be stifled and the messengers of truth imprisoned because the truth makes the enemies of Christ e.g., sodomites and muslims uncomfortable about themselves. The enemies of Christ are one when it comes to silencing the truth.
From Robert Spencer via Human Events: "To be sure, [Steyn's] article was pretty strong stuff. Here’s Read More...
While the world grapples with the depths of sin and darkness, God is pouring His grace upon the earth to restore and transform His Church. It is the only thing that is capable of transforming the world from a death seeking suicidal culture to one that reveres light, life and truth. The last 50 years have seen the Bride of Christ beaten down by scandals, divisions, and disobedience-- leaving her often-times beyond recognition. But the tide has turned. The truth in all its splendor is irresistable in dark days. And the truth contained in the Latin Mass will be a beacon in the world where nothing remains sacred and everything is empty and mundane.
ZENIT recently conducted an interview with David Hartline, author of "The Tide is Turning Toward Catholicism".
"Instead of turning away from the faith and embracing the relativism of society, more and more youths are actually embracing the teachings of the Church, says Catholic author David Hartline."
"Many have asked me since the release of my book earlier this year if this tide of good news will continue or if it just a temporary cause for joy.
"The answer is that this tide continues to gather strength. Good news is abounding in the Church."
"When the young gravitated toward Pope John Paul II," said Hartline, "many skeptics said this was only temporary. When Cardinal Ratzinger was elected Pontiff, many said the young would leave.
"However, just Read More...
Compiled from Jurist and Guardian Unlimited: A new law criminalizing the incitement of religious hatred came into effect. The Racial and Religious Hatred Act makes intentionally stirring up hatred against people on religious grounds punishable by a jail sentence of up to seven years.
The act is...seen as an important counter-balance to anti-terror laws which have been viewed as disproportionately targeting Britain's Muslim population.
Critics have argued that the law will undermine the freedom of satirists, comedians and writers, and stifle legitimate discussion about religion and religious practices.
Here we go with more secular legislation aimed at instilling morality in the people. There is no surprise that this state imposed secular morality is arbitrary and capricious. Who will determine what amounts to incitement of religious hate? And what will be the standards? Will a condemnation of the teachings of Mohammed land you in jail? Truth and debate will be stifled in the name of political correctness at a time when Europe needs open and honest talk about Islam and the danger it poses to the continent.
Perpetually splintered Christianity--brought about by the Reformation--has permitted the enemies of Christianity a profound advantage. When a man who calls himself a Christian can arbitrarily interpret scripture to his liking and scoff at the notion of authority, he is unable to condemn those who do the same outside of scripture. We are a house divided rather than a force to be reckoned with.
